----- CADPower INSTALLATION for BricsCAD -----

1. Starting V25, CADPower is shipped with a unified installer which contains the
installation for English, German, Spanish, Portuguese-Brazilian, Italian and French,
all in one EXE file (cadpower_bricscad.exe)

By default, the program installs and starts with the English language interface.

If the Windows LOCALE can be automatically determined, and if it matches the available six languages
in which CADPower can run, the program will automatically switch to that language during its first run.

Subsequently, you can change and set the operating language of your choice using the CP_LANGSWITCH command.

Once you set the operating language, it stays until you change it.

This command is also accessible from the pull-down menu CADPower -> More options -> Change operating language
-and- from the ribbon and toolbar interfaces also.

2. Starting CADPower: Once you have successfully installed
CADPower, start BricsCAD.

The CADPower menu should be automatically visible inside BricsCAD, if you
are using the Pro (or above) versions on the Windows platform. Automatic
demand loading is enabled, on Windows only.

If the menu is not visible -or- if you are using the Lite version of
BricsCAD -or- if you are using Mac or Linux operating system -or- if your
computer requires you to login using an administrator account for installing
software, you need to manually configure CADPower.

The steps are described below:

Add the CADPower folder to the BricsCAD support path as
shown below:

- Type 'Settings' on the command line or click on 'Settings->Settings..."
  on the menu.
- Click on the 'Program Options' section.
- Click on the 'Files' item in this section.
- Select the 'Support File Search Path'.
- Click on the [...] button at the right edge of this entry
and you will see the list of existing folders which
are on the BricsCAD support path.
- Click on 'Add Folder' button and add the CADPower install
folder to the list of existing folders and move this folder
to the top of the list.
- The order of the folders in the Support path is important because any
identically named files found in multiple folders will be ignored and
only the one in the first found folder file will be loaded.

Now, restart your BricsCAD for the changes to take effect.

3. Troubleshooting tips:

a. If CADPower is not loading upon starting BricsCAD, it
means that the startup LSP file 'on_doc_load.lsp' from
the CADPower folder is not loading. Please check if you have
another 'on_doc_load.lsp' files in other folders ahead of the
CADPower folder. If you already have an existing
'on_doc_load.lsp' on your system that you would like to use,
you can just add the contents of the CADPower-supplied
'on_doc_load.lsp' into your existing file.
Alternatively, you can delete the wrong 'on_doc_oad.lsp' change the search order of the folder

b. Ensure that the ACADLSPASDOC system variable is set to 1.
If this is set to 0, CADPower may not initialize
automatically in subsequent drawings opened and you will need to
manually load it in each drawing.

CADPower makes extensive use of dialog boxes, some of which are wide.
It is therefore recommended that you use a Windows display
screen resolution of 1024x768 or more. If you encounter "Dialog
too big to fit the display" error, either increase the resolution
or use "Small Fonts" in your display settings.

4. Generating the computer application key for CADPower

You can generate the application key (appkey) of the computer using the CP_APPKEY command which can be typed
on the command line.

You can also run this command from the pull-down menu: CADPower -> 'Display Application Key'
-or- from the ribbon also.

The appkey is displayed on the dialog box. You can copy-paste the same from the command line after exiting
the dialog box and send the info to us by email [rakesh.rao@thedesignsense.com].

5. Registering your license on the computer for use

Once we receive your application key (sent in step 4 above), we will use the appkey you have sent and the
other particulars of the user to create an encrypted license file. This file is sent to you by email.

You can activate the license using the CP_ACTIVATELICENSE command from within CADPower or from the menu
'CADPower -> More Options -> Activate CADPower license'

This copies the file to your 'c:/Users/<user>/AppData/Local/CADPower/BricsCAD/V25' folder.

For example, in my computer, the license file path would be: 'c:/Users/RAKESH/AppData/Local/CADPower/BricsCAD/V25/CADPowerUser25_EN_BC.RGS'

You can also perform the license activation by simply copying the license file to the
folder where you have installed CADPower.

By default, this would be the folder: "c:\Program Files\DesignSense\CADPower25_BricsCAD"

Restart your BricsCAD and the license file would be activated and ready to use.

You can use any of the methods described above. The license file can be located in any of the above two specified folders.

It can also reside on any other folder of your choice, provided it is on the support path in BricsCAD.

In order to avoid CADPower reading the wrong license file, please check and ensure that you do not have multiple versions of the license
file in multiple folders, which may be accessible on the path or in designated folders like installation, user folder etc.

In the event you have an issue like this, you can use the CP_DEBUGINFO command to determine which license file is being read by your CADPower installation.
